HERRCO: Successfully completed its presence at the 87th TIF

With great success Hellenic Recovery Recycling Corporation (HERRCO) participated at the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), which was held from 9 to 17 September.

More than 5,000 visitors visited HERRCO’ s interactive booth. Public and private bodies, representatives of the press, representatives of political parties, municipal authorities, businesses, and the public were informed by the company executives about the organization's overall activity in packaging recycling, the remarkable results of the Blue Bin and the Blue Bell, the investments in innovations and modern technologies as well as the educational initiatives implemented by HERRCO for 21 years.

Due to the current adverse conditions resulted in harmful impact on territories of our country, the opening event for HERRCO’s Booth was canceled. However, visitors had the opportunity to learn about packaging recycling in the Blue Bin and sorting at the source, as well as to observe the latest technology equipment for the recording and collection of quantities, aiming to raise awareness and cultivate an environmentally responsible behavior.

HERRCO’ s Chairman, Mr. Michael E. Economakis, stated: "In alignment with its commitment to continuous improvement of packaging recycling aiming to environment’s protection, HERRCO continues its investment to increase its footprint for the benefit of the society and the environment. An attempt which enjoys the support of all Municipalities in the country, 3,500 corporations, along with the support of the citizens of the country. We, as a country, must effectively deal with the constant threat of the climate crisis and its consequences, that we all, citizens, institutions, corporations, the state itself, become part of the solution and contribute to the protection of the environment, thus protecting our own present and the future of our children".

HERRCO covers with its projects 95% of the National Result in packaging recycling, contributing decisively to the achievement of the National goal. Looking to the future, the company organizes, implements and participates in actions and initiatives that promote the green transition and the circular economy, while promote a modern environmental perception.
